You, the shop owner can focus on marketing of your products, managing orders and customers. We will fully manage the magento installation and ensure that it is optimized for performance and security. Our managed hosting support comes with free Magento version upgrades and automated backups.

Managed hosting is an extension of dedicated hosting, whereby the required cloud services are configured and managed by the hosting provider and client can fully focus on the application, in this case, the Magento commerce shop.

Is Nginx better that Apache? Nginx is the best-known asynchronous server, whereas Apache is a process-based server. The main advantage of an asynchronous server is its scalability. Apache, being a process-based server, requires a thread for each simultaneous connection, which incurs significant overhead. An asynchronous server, on the other hand, is event-driven and handles requests in a single thread (or at least, very few threads). Undoubtedly, Nginx works best for Magento, offering best performance, especially under heavier loads! eg: Serving 10,000 simultaneous connections would probably only cause Nginx to use a few megabytes of RAM whereas, Apache would probably consume hundreds of megabytes (if it could do it at all).

Even though the uptime of your shop is our responsibility, we fully understand that there can be situations where you will need to communicate to us on issues related to your shop. We guarantee that all support tickets are responded to within 8 hours 24/7 by our team of certified professionals. We do not rely on call centers managed by unskilled staff.

You will get a response from Magento Developer Plus and/or Zend PHP5 Certified professionals as part of our hosting plans!

We have one of the world's first Zend PHP5 and Magento Developer Plus certified professionals to assist you with your Magento store. All stores are security audited and validated to ensure that your shop is installed with all the needed settings. You will not get to a situation where you are stuck and unable to fix a technical issue with your magento shop. We also offer custom backend development/integration with your legacy systems and/or data porting support.

As per Gartner August 2014 report on cloud infrastructure as a service, Amazon's AWS is on the top of the ladder, above Google and Microsoft. The range of services offered by Amazon AWS include the following key services. EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud), which is the core OS instances, scalable horizontally or vertically. Amazon's DNS (Domain Name Service) comes with the name Route53.

For vertical scaling of your Magento shop, the CPU and RAM can be increased from a wide range of options under the EC2 instance selections. EBS (Elastic Block Storage) is the storage service of Amazon AWS with two options: SSD (Solid-State Drive) and Magnetic. EBS can also be enhanced for high I/O operations by choosing provisioned I/O settings.

Varnish is a http accelerator with built-in load balancer. In additon to this, Varnish has a failover mechanism and a caching reverse proxy. On our servers, all http requests are handled directly by (reaches directly to) Varnish. ie, port 80 is handled by Varnish, and behind this the Nginx server sits, handling internally mapped port to serve magento commerce PHP application.

Redis is an advanced key-value cache and store. It is often referred to as a data structure server, since keys can contain strings, hashes, lists, sets, sorted sets, bitmaps and HyperLogLogs. Redis also supports trivial-to-setup master-slave asynchronous replication, with very fast non-blocking first synchronization, auto-reconnection with partial resynchronization on net split.

In order to achieve its outstanding performance, Redis works with an in-memory dataset. Depending on your use case, you can persist it either by dumping the dataset to disk every once in a while, or by appending each command to a log. Persistence can be optionally disabled, if you just need a feature-rich, networked, in-memory cache.

Other features of Redis include, Transactions, Pub/Sub, Lua scripting, Keys with a limited time-to-live, LRU eviction of keys and Automatic failover.

Amazon CloudFront CDN is a content delivery web service. It integrates with other Amazon Web Services to give developers and businesses an easy way to distribute content to end users with low latency, high data transfer speeds, and no minimum usage commitments.

Amazon CloudFront can be used to deliver your entire website, including dynamic, static, streaming, and interactive content using a global network of edge locations. Requests for your content are automatically routed to the nearest edge location, so content is delivered with the best possible performance. Amazon CloudFront is optimized to work with other Amazon Web Services, like Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Elastic Load Balancing, and Amazon Route 53. Amazon CloudFront also works seamlessly with any non-AWS origin server, which stores the original, definitive versions of your files. Like other Amazon Web Services, there are no long-term contracts or minimum monthly usage commitments for using Amazon CloudFront. You pay only for as much or as little content as you actually deliver through the content delivery service.

Backed by Solid-State Drives (SSDs), General Purpose (SSD) volumes provide the ability to burst to 3,000 IOPS per volume, independent of volume size, to meet the performance needs of most applications and also deliver a consistent baseline of 3 IOPS/GB. General Purpose (SSD) volumes offer the same five nines of availability and durable snapshot capabilities as other volume types. Pricing and performance for General Purpose (SSD) volumes are simple and predictable. You pay for each GB of storage you provision, and there are no additional charges for I/O performed on a volume. Prices start as low as $0.10/GB.

You can now choose between three Amazon EBS volume types to best meet the needs of your workloads: General Purpose (SSD), Provisioned IOPS (SSD), and Magnetic volumes. General Purpose (SSD) volumes are suitable for a broad range of workloads, including small to medium-sized databases, development and test environments, and boot volumes. Provisioned IOPS (SSD) volumes offer storage with consistent and low-latency performance, and are designed for I/O-intensive applications such as large relational or NoSQL databases, and allow you to choose the level of performance you need. Magnetic volumes, formerly known as Standard volumes, provide the lowest cost per gigabyte of all Amazon EBS volume types and are ideal for workloads where data is accessed infrequently and applications where the lowest storage cost is important.
